Silhouette pricing is $75 per subject matted and framed. Includes photo sitting in my studio. Group silhouettes requiring custom framing may alter the framing cost slightly.

$325 per subject. Unframed on canvas or board. Includes photo session in my studio. Monochromes are oil portraits using only one color of oil - I typically use a sepia tone (burnt umber) or a classic venetian red, but can use a slate gray or any color suggestion you prefer. I work off my own photos but will consider working from an approved photo under the right circumstances.

Full color oils start at $900 for head and collar only portraits - including a photo session in my studio. Pricing will then vary depending upon the size, amount of body (e.g. 1/2, 3/4 or full), and complexity of the background or clothing. 10% discount stil applies.

Original oil portraits have always traditionally been the ultimate honor for retired executives, public servants and notable celebrities - and children honored with a portrait view themselves in much the same way.

When children grow up with an original portrait of themselves hung in the home in a prominent way, they have daily evidence of their worth and lovability. My father had a formal portrait done of my mother and I never questioned his devotion to her. In turn, my parents hung an original portrait of each of us down the staircase to provide daily evidence of the love and affection they had for each of us.

Photographs don’t always do it, because they are seen as quick and easy - particularly in this digital age. That’s why well done hand produced original works of art will never be displaced, and continue to be the preferred family heirloom long after multiple photos are placed in a closet.

My purpose is to help bring high quality oil portraiture to the St. Louis market in the same way that it is highly valued in the south, east and western areas of the country. I provide solutions at all dollar levels from lower priced silhouettes, to monochrome oils to high end oil portraiture.
