Non-Portrait Pricing

All commissioned non-portrait work is handled on a case by case basis. If you are interested in my creation of work for a specific purpose please contact me. Simply contact me to inquire whether a piece, whether the original or in limited edition, is available - and the galleries where it can be found.

Oil Portrait Pricing

I try to structure my pricing so that virtually anyone can afford my work at whatever level they feel comfortable. I offer framed silhouettes for $75, monochromes starting at $325 and oils starting at $900. My pricing can also run up to $8000 or more for formal adult portraits.

I truly believe that a quality oil portrait is the ultimate gift of affection. As compared to jewelry or other gifts of recognition, my work is both fairly priced and will be a keepsake that will last beyond a lifetime.

My pricing is directly based upon the amount of time I expect will be necessary to deliver the portrait you desire. Variables influencing cost include such factors as the number of required sittings, backgrounds and clothing, size and postures and the nature of the subject matter involved. These variables will be discussed on our first meeting, and a firm price which works within your budget will be decided upon.

A non-refundable $300 deposit is required to reserve a spot on my calendar. One third deposit is required for any portrait over $3000. Reasonable travel expenses for portraits outside of the immediate St. Louis, Missouri area are additional.

Framing

Although the artist is not responsible for framing, I became a distributor of high quality, ready-made frames as a service to my clients. I will be pleased to help you choose and order an appropriate frame which I pass along to you at cost. This enables you to save considerable expense. I do charge a flat $85 fee to order the frame and frame the work for you.

Art Reproductions

Additional art reproductions on canvas (giclee prints) can be ordered for or by other family members or interested parties, pricing will vary.

Finally, all of my portraiture work is unconditionally guaranteed.  Quite simply, if you are not delighted with my work, you are under no obligation to pay anything other than my booking fee.  This commitment assures you that I will deliver the highest quality portrait I am capable of, keeping you informed of its progress at certain stages along the way.  This also assures you of complete satisfaction on a uniquely special decision. I pride myself in delivering exceptional quality work at an appropriate value with every commission.
